## Summary

Die Japandrossel (Turdus chrysolaus) ist ein Singvogel aus der Familie der Drosseln (Turdidae).
Der Vogel brütet auf Sachalin, den Kurilen und in Japan, er überwintert südlich bis zu den Nansei-Inseln, Taiwan, Hainan und Nordphilippinen.
Die Art wurde früher als konspezifisch mit der Fahldrossel (Turdus pallidus), mitunter auch mit der Izudrossel (Turdus celaenops) oder mit der Weißbrauendrossel (Turdus obscurus) angesehen.
Der Lebensraum umfasst Wälder gemäßigter Zonen, als Brutgebiet wird dichter Laub- und Mischwald mit breitblättrigen Bäumen sowie Galeriewald, Flussauen und Seeufer bevorzugt. Schattige, feuchte…
