## Summary

Die Haubenmaina (Acridotheres cristatellus, Syn. Gracula cristatella) ist ein Singvogel  aus der Gattung Mainas (Acridotheres) innerhalb der Familie der Stare (Sturnidae).
Der Vogel kommt im Südosten Chinas und in Indonesien vor.
Die Art wurde als Käfigvogel eingeführt nach Vancouver, British Columbia, Gefangenschaftsflüchtlinge konnten sich dort beträchtlich vermehren bis nach Washington und Oregon. Der Vogel gilt aktuell in Nordamerika als ausgestorben.
Im Jahre 1997 wurde die Art brütend um Lissabon herum entdeckt, ist jetzt etabliert in der Reserva Natural do Estuário do Tejo und auf der Península de Setúbal.…
