## Summary

Das Hoffmann-Zweifingerfaultier ist eine Art aus der Familie der Choloepodidae. Sie ist in Mittel- und Teilen von Südamerika verbreitet, besitzt aber ein zweigeteiltes Verbreitungsgebiet. Der Lebensraum umfasst sowohl tropische Regenwälder und teils laubabwerfende Wälder im Tiefland und in höheren Lagen. Dort lebt das Hoffmann-Zweifingerfaultier einzelgängerisch in den Baumkronen und ernährt sich weitgehend von Blättern und jungen Zweigen. Charakteristisch ist vor allem das bräunliche Fell und das hellere Gesicht sowie das Hangeln kopfüber im Geäst. Es werden mehrere Unterarten…
